AFTER-LOSS SUPPORT Services

Practical and Emotional Guidance after Loss

Losing someone reshapes your world overnight. The routines, roles, and rhythms you once relied on suddenly shift, and you’re left trying to navigate the unfamiliar landscape of life without them. Preparing for a loved one's passing ahead of time can  reduce uncertainty and ease the transition for those left behind.

I offer compassionate, practical support for everything from emotional overwhelm to the daily logistics that feel impossible after a loss. It’s about creating clarity, emotional readiness, and a network of support

so families can focus on grieving rather than logistics after the loss.

What you need to know about AFTER-LOSS SUPPORT

Generational Hand Connection
  • After-loss support provides both emotional and practical guidance for individuals and families following the death of a loved one. I help you manage the many tasks that follow a death—such as organizing paperwork, planning a memorial, connecting with financial resources—while offering compassionate support throughout the process. I also provide grief support as part of my after-loss service.

  • Grief counseling focuses solely on the grieving process, while after-loss support also includes hands-on, logistical guidance. As a survivorship consultant, I help loved ones navigate the practical side of loss—handling documents, coordinating notifications, and connecting with trusted professionals—whatever needs doing, along with grief support.

  • After-loss services are ideal for executors, adult children, widows, widowers, or anyone managing a loved one’s estate or affairs. It’s also helpful for those who feel overwhelmed by the administrative and emotional tasks that follow a death.

  • Support can include:

    • Creating a custom post-death checklist

    • Reviewing or organizing paperwork

    • Coordinating memorial or celebration-of-life services

    • Notifying family, friends, and service providers

    • Referring to trusted professionals (attorneys, accountants, financial planners, etc.)

    • Offering grief resources and emotional guidance

  • The timeline varies depending on your needs. Some families need help for a few weeks, while others work with me for longer as they process estate matters and grief. On average, estate work and transitions can take 12–18 months, and ongoing support helps ease that journey.

  • Not at all. Survivorship consulting can begin before a loss occurs to help prepare and organize. This proactive approach eases the burden later and allows loved ones to grieve without the overwhelm of logistics.

  • As a death doula, I provide continuity of care—supporting families before, during, and after death. My after-loss service extends that support by helping loved ones navigate the new landscape without their loved one's presence.
